Leveda Stevenson Blalock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leveda Stevenson Blalock, who left us on January 6, 2025. Born on January 22, 1944, to Oscar and Francis Stevenson, Leveda lived a full life marked by love, laughter, and a passion for the simple joys in life.

Leveda made her mark in our community as the hardworking office manager at Cox Communication / Suddenlink in Gladewater, Texas, where she was known for her friendly demeanor and unwavering dedication. After retiring, she found the time to indulge in her favorite hobbies—devouring books, tending to her beautiful yard filled with vibrant flowers, and soaking up the great outdoors.

Above all, Leveda cherished her family. Spending time with her children and her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life, she always made time to create unforgettable memories with them.

Leveda is survived by her son, David Lee Blalock Jr.; daughter Tealie Leveda Blalock; grandchildren, Raven Huffman, Michael Rogers, Cara Long, Gabriel Rogers, and Luke Rogers; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

Leveda is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, David Lee Blalock Sr.; her parents, Oscar and Francis Stevenson; as well as 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 4 to 6 in the evening at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

Rest in peace, Leveda. You will be missed but never forgotten.
