Laura Jane Williams

Laura Jane Williams passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, in Longview, Texas. She was born on August 9, 1940, to James C. and Agnes L. (Howell) Oates.

Laura dedicated her life to her family, embodying the spirit of love and care in everything she did. Her greatest pride came from being a nurturing homemaker, creating a home filled with comfort and warmth for those she loved. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious meals and sweet memories, where laughter and stories were shared around the table. Beyond her family's embrace, she also found joy in serving her community as a proud member of the Kiwanis Club.

She is survived by her husband, Tullos Williams; sons, Tullos A. Williams, Jr. and wife Linda of Gilmer, Edward Williams and wife Debbie of Gilmer; daughter, Delcine Johnson and husband Wade of Longview; brother, James Oates III and wife Charlotte of Lawton, OK; 11 grandchildren, Lyndsey Reynolds and husband Casey, Sarah Davis and husband Dustin, Elizabeth Smith and husband Ryan, Ashley Patel and husband Vivek, Catherine Williams, Sydney Anderson and husband J.P., Allison Johnson, Benjamin Johnson and wife Ashley, Michael Johnson and wife Gabbye, Nathan Johnson and Daniel Johnson; along with 9 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas, on April 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service taking place at the same location at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer.

The family suggests that donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Choir Fund in memory of Laura Williams.
