Services for Larry Edwards,64, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday June 29, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church in Gilmer with Reverend Kyle Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Edwards was born on October 21, 1947, in Petersburg, Virginia to Charles and Mary Braddock Edwards and passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Longview. He was a self employed nuclear contractor and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gilmer. Mr. Larry Edwards is survived by his wife, Mary Edwards of Gilmer; son, Chris Edwards of Dallas; step-daughter, Trish Powell and her husband Mark of Longview; brother Ronald Edwards of Austin; sister, Shirley Stiefel and her husband, Danny of Henderson; grandchild, Hayden Howell; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Mark Powell, Hayden Howell, Butch Kafka, Zachary Kafka, Johnny Gorden, Chris Edwards and Jim Fox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28 from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M.
