Larry Schenck

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Schenck, 62, of Longview will be held 2:00 P. M., Thursday, June, 4, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas. Interment will follow at West Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. He passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Longview. Larry was born on November 6, 1952, in Gladewater to Harlin Joe Schenck and Dollie Mae White Schenck Evans. He served in the U. S. Navy and worked in the Maintenance Dept. at the Army Corp of Engineers. Mr. Schenck was a member of the ABC Bowling League. Larry was an avid bowler, pool player, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved fixing up old cars and drag racing. Mr. Schenck is survived by his mother, Dollie Mae Evans; stepmother, Betty Schenck; sons, Larry Schenck, Jr., Joshua Schenck and wife, Meagan; brother, Joe Schenck; grandchildren, Christian, Keelan, Sebastian, Jada and Mason Schenck; numerous stepbrothers, stepsisters, nephews and nieces. Mr. Schenck was preceded in death by his wife, Shonette Schenck; grandson, Shawn Schenck; father, Harlin Joe Schenck and stepfather Richard Evans. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the funeral home.
