Funeral services for Larry Ralph Ellison, 73 of Gilmer, Texas will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 7, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mr. Ellison passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Gilmer. He was born on March 4, 1942 in Gilmer to Audrey and Mildred Coppedge Ellison. Mr. Ellison was a manager at Gilmer Pottery before his retirement and was and avid treasure hunter, coin collector and fisherman. He is survived by his son, Wade Ellison of Gilmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelly and Bill White of Gilmer, Charlette and Donnie Carter of Gilmer and Cindy and Terry Hammonds of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Meagan Carnes, Zachary White, Bailey White, Kersten Ellison, Rebecca Ellison, Sara Shirley, Taylor Hall, Savanna Carter, Anneliese Ellison, Samantha Hammonds, Trenton Carter, Travis Carter and Peyton Carter and one great grandchild, Audrey Seymour. Mr. Ellison was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers for the service are Bailey White, Travis Carter, Joshua Carnes, Cody Shirley, Josh Welborn and Will Shornacy. Honorary pallbearer will be Trenton Carter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M.
