Larry N. Threadgill

Graveside service for Mr. Larry N. Threadgill, 70, of Ore City, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Willow Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM before the service on Wednesday at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Threadgill passed away in Longview on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Larry was born on June 3, 1949 in Gilmer, TX to the late James and Mary (Cook) Threadgill and married Phyllis Kay Duke in 1971, she preceded him in death on February 7, 2009. Mr. Threadgill was also a proud Army Veteran, fighting in the Vietnam war. He worked for Lone Star Steel until his retirement, as well as Gilmer Pottery and Walmart for many years.

Mr. Threadgill is survived by his daughter, Amanda Elliff and husband, Paul; brothers, Billy Threadgill and wife, Nannette, James Oliver Threadgill and wife, Dixie, Kenneth Ray Threadgill and wife, Judy, and Robert Threadgill and his wife, Serita; sisters, Jo Ann Clinton and Eva Mathis; sister-in-law, Linnie Threadgill; grandchildren, Mandy and Joseph Saxon, Jessie, Christopher, and Tiffany Woods, Elizabeth Threadgill, and Jennifer Elliff; great grandchildren, Joshua and Kaytlynn Saxon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 39 years, Phyllis Kay Threadgill; son, James Bryan Threadgill; brother, Royce Threadgill; and granddaughter, Harley Marie Woods.
