Larry Lee Sims

DIANA: Services for Larry Sims, 65, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Diana, with Brother Lance Sims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will follow at Walnut Creek Cemetery. He passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence.

Larry was born December 30, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO. to Willie Franklin Sims, Jr. and Frankie Doris Watts Sims. He was a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church and loved fishing. Larry retired from the maintenance department at Pine Tree ISD. On April 16, 1977, he and Pam Maxwell were married in Diana.

Larry is survived by his wife, Pam Sims, his mother Frankie Sims, sons: Carl Lee Sims and Kevin Martin and Christopher Sims and wife Tasha, daughter: Jennifer Grubbs and husband Jacob, brothers: Bobby Sims and wife Shelia, Richard Sims and wife Renee’, Danny Sims and wife Jeanne, sister: Lou Ann Wright and husband Buddy, grandchildren: Brandy Kirkpatrick and husband Kyle, Brianna Martin, Preslee Grubbs, Preston Grubbs, Rae-Lynn Sims, and grand-dog: Lillie Grubbs along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Bill Sims, and brother, Donnie Sims.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in Larry’s memory be made to Diana Fire Department, PO Box 401, Diana, Texas 75640.
