Larry Hicks, born on October 28, 1948, in San Jose, California, passed away on March 3, 2024, at his home in Leesburg, Texas. Known for his love of fishing and yard work, Larry was truly a jack of all trades. He proudly served as a peace officer for the Longview Police Department before transitioning to the role of shop foreman at White Oak Radiator.
Larry will be fondly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary Hicks, along with his sons, Kevin Hicks (and his spouse Jennifer) and Brady Hicks (and his spouse Alvar Salguero). He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his grandchildren: Hagen Hardee, Brayden Hicks, Allie Hicks, Mya Priego, Keaton Hicks, and Rylee Hicks, as well as his great-grandchildren, Ellie Priego and Saylor Priego.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elree and Emmie Hicks, Larry's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10 o'clock in the morning at Liberty Cemetery in Hawkins, Texas.
