Funeral services for Lana Gail Bowers, 68, of Kelsey, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Church of Latter-day Saints in Gilmer with Bishop Tim Miller officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Bowers passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Quitman. She was born on February 27, 1948 in Gilmer to Rhanual Arthur Hardman and Effie Fayrene Hamberlin and was a self-employed seamstress for many years. She was widely known for her beautiful dresses she created for the East Texas Yamboree each year. Mrs. Bowers is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Dee Bowers of Kelsey; sons, Ernest Nathan Bowers II of Kelsey, Brian Lex Bowers and wife, Emily of Latch, Helaman Ross Bowers and wife, Zandra of Longview; daughter, Richelle Bowers Fuller and husband, Brian of Buford, Georgia; brother, Ronald Hardman and wife, Teresa of Idaho; sisters, Susan Pitkin and husband, Steve of Sandy, Utah, Linda Corn of Kelsey, thirteen grandchildren, Carrie Combs, Jessica Sanchez, Kailee "Bug" Bowers, Colton McIntyre, Kayna Bowers, Slaci Atmar, Tyler Huie, Cameron Huie, Brandon Talley, Brianna Fuller, Ethan Fuller, Zoey Bowers and Zion Bowers; and six great-grandchildren, Bailee Griffith, Zane Sanchez, Carter McIntyre, Kasen McIntyre, Raylan Brogden and Jace Talley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rhanual and Fayrene Hardman and brother, Johnny "Fuzzy" Hardman and great-granddaughter, Serenity Combs. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
