Kennedi Rose Burks

Services for Kennedi Rose Burks, precious baby girl of Dillon and Lauren Burks, will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church in Longview. Pastors Bo Bolding and J.D. Cutler will be officiating. Interment will follow in Gladewater Memorial Park. Kennedi was born on October 18, 2011, in Longview, Texas. She departed this earth on Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by her adoring family. Baby K was a joy to all who knew her. She lit up when she talked to her family, and her blue eyes twinkled with love. She was a delight all of her days. In addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandmother, Nicole Thomas Young of Gladewater; paternal grandparents, Gary and Sharri Burks of Gladewater; maternal great-grandparents, Galen and Rosemary Thomas of Big Sandy, and Shirley Young of Gladewater; paternal great grandparents, Vonda and Charlie Nelson of Sulphur Springs, Sandy Titus of Longview, Steve and Gail Gorrell of Winter Haven, Florida, and Thomas Burks of Como; maternal great-great-grandmother, Mary Alice Allen of Gladewater; paternal great-great-grandmother, Marie Chester of Sulphur Springs, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Buster, Brent Eric Young. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kennedi Rose Burks Memorial Fund at Texas Bank and Trust. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. on Monday, June 18, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
