Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Davidson, 76, of Gilmer will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 1, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Madison Caffey and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Mrs. Davidson passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Mrs. Davidson was born on October 7, 1937, in Winnsboro, Texas to Odie Liry Johnson and Beulah Hoffman. She was a cafeteria worker at Gilmer ISD before her retirement. Mrs. Davidson is survived by her husband David Davidson, of Gilmer; son David Michael Davidson and his girlfriend Patricia Merritt; brother Robert Johnson and his wife, Sharon; sister Mary Morrill and brother-in-law Butch Alexander; granddaughter, Jennifer Farmer and her husband, Jacob; great grand children, Jacie Ann and Emory Farmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Billy Wayne Johnson and sister, Opal Overstreet. Pallbearers for her service will be Charlie Farmer, Andy Allredge, Johnny Overstreet, Robert Lynn Overstreet, Thomas Matulis and Tracy Johnson. Bubba Overstreet will serve as the honorary pallbearer The family and friends will gather on Sunday, August 31, 2014, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
