Kathy D. White

Mrs. Kathy Denise White, age 60 of Gladewater, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Longview Regional Hospital. Kathy was born in Gladewater on January 8, 1962 to the late David L. and Bertha Lynette Hodge Blear. She attended Gladewater schools, and graduated from Gladewater High School, Class of 1980. She stayed active in her class activities, reunions, and the 80’s Ladies group until her passing. Kathy worked for a time in the Kilgore College business office, for the Gladewater Mirror, and most recently for Plexus Worldwide. She married David Arnold White in 2005, together they turned their talent and love of photography into Moments Photography by Kathy and David. Kathy also loved writing, photo editing, and digital print design. She was a member of the North Loop Church of Christ in Gladewater. In her words she was “ I'm a child of God, a Wife, a Mom, a Stepmom, a Nana, a Daughter, a Sister, an Aunt, and a friend!” and she will be truly missed by those she leaves behind.


She is preceded in death by her parents; the light of her life, her son, Brian Cory Grunden; sister, Loretta Mitchell; and brother, David Wayne Blear.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Arnold White of Gladewater; step-son, David Alan White and wife Kristi of Haughton, La.; step-daughter, Christina Elise Wittmer and husband Will of Haughton, La.; brother, Jimmy Blear and wife Kathy of Longview; sister, Sharon Kendall and husband Doug of Gladewater; grandchildren, Elise Wittmer, John Wittmer, Nikala White, Eden White; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 24, 2022 under the pavilion at West Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County, Mr. Joe Chase officiating. Visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
