Kathryn Jean Rodriguez

Kathryn Rodriguez of Gilmer was born June 28, 1950, in Richmond, California and went to be with God on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in Longview after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Wilma Faires. She is survived by her brother Ron Faires and sister-in-law Pam Faires; niece Jamie Loomis; nephew Shane Faires; cousins Debbie Brown and Greg Faires; great nephew Alexander Loomis; and Chris Davis, longtime dear friend and caregiver. Her career and life interests were in retail and hotel management. She excelled in each of these fields and was an extremely dedicated and hard working person. She enjoyed taking care of all her pets she had throughout her life and had a special connection to them. Her hobbies were reading, playing scrabble, watching T.V., movies, and cooking. She made the most delicious scalloped potatoes and potato salad. She was a very kind, generous, witty, and loving person who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. A special thank you to Magnolia Hospice and Highland Pines Nursing and Rehab for all the special care and comfort given to our loved one during her illness.

A memorial service for Kathryn will take place at a later date in California.
