Katherine Latham

Katherine Sue Latham, 52 of Big Sandy, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at her home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX at 10:30 a.m., for a memorial service with Todd Quinn officiating, lunch immediately following at Barbwire Halo Cowboy Church in Gilmer. Katherine was born April 26, 1964 to Jean O"Day (Davis) Thomas and Charles Lindley Davis of Beckville. Katherine was a devoted Mother, Mimi, Wife and Aunt. She enjoyed teaching at schools and spending time with her family who she adored. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Katherine married Billy Latham on October 28, 2007. They were devoted Christians. Their very first date was to church and they continued to live their life for the Lord. Mrs. Latham is survived by her husband, Billy Latham; son, Robert (Bubba) Shields Jr. and wife, Amy Shields; and grandson, Trey Shields of Gilmer; a daughter, Amber Dreikosen and husband, Jamie Dreikosen of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; her mother and step-father, Jean and Jan Thomas of Harmony; sister, Carolyn Hill of Harmony; brother and his wife, Chuck and Debbie Davis of Beckville; brother and his wife, Darrell and Debbie Davis of Harmony. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Latham is proceeded in death by her dad, Charles Lindley Davis. No formal visitation is scheduled.
