Karen Denise McKain

Celebration of Life services for Karen Denise McKain, 62, of Flint, formerly of Gladewater, will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview.

Denise passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family who had helped care for and were by her side in her final moments.

Denise was born June 18, 1956 in Grenada, Texas to the late Richard Arlan Rose, Sr. and Connie June Freeman Rose. Denise was a truly selfless woman personality lit up every room with a laughter and joy that was infectious. She was very active in church and truly loved the Lord. Denise always looked for an opportunity to witness and serve others. Denise loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and watching movies. Denise will truly be missed but never forgotten by all those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her two daughters Melissa McKain and Michelle Tolbert; four grandchildren Micah McKain, Madysen McKain, Anna Tolbert and Rebecca Tolbert; two sisters Diane Castle and Becky Cavel; brother Ricky Rose as well as many other loving family and friends.

Denise was greeted in heaven by her parents Richard and Connie Rose.
