Ms. Julie Ann Schiller, age 59 of Gilmer, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at a Longview care facility. Julie was born on July 11, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Sharon Muscat Schiller. She graduated from York high school with honors and graduated from the National College of Education with honors, followed by Texas Women's University where she earned her Masters degree in education. She worked as a special education teacher in the Ft. Worth ISD for 28 years, before retiring. Julie was a member of the Soules Chapel United Methodist Church and Bible Study Fellowship. Her passion in life was educating, advocating and caring for children as a teacher, foster parent, and mother. She is preceded in death by her father, James Schiller, and son, Richard Schiller. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Schiller and her partner Bryan Castorina of Ft. Worth; mother, Sharon Schiller of Gilmer; sisters, Pam Schiller and Deb Schiller of Gilmer; grandchildren, Royce, Rosalina, and Leticia; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will conduct a Celebration of Julie's life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Soules Chapel United Methodist Church.
