Judith Kathryn Hagar passed from this world to join her Father and Savior in heaven on March 10, 2015 in Longview, Texas. Judith and her twin sister Jan were born in Longview Texas on July 30, 1937 to parents James A. Willis and Hazel Willis, followed by younger sister Kristine Willis Lathrop. Judith was married to Leo S. Hagar of Dallas and became the mother of three children, Christopher Samuel Hagar, James Andrew Hagar and Julianna Hagar, all born in Dallas. Judith was the Grandmother to two grandchildren, Andrew Riley and Sarah Katherine born to James Hagar and Jennifer Shuping Hagar in Denton, Texas. Judith also had six nieces and nephews and 29 great nieces and nephews Growing up in Longview, Judith had dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse and upon graduating from High School; Judith attended St. Paul Nursing School in Dallas. After graduation, Judith began her nursing career in Dallas at St. Paul Hospital specializing in Emergency Room trauma care. The family moved back to Longview in 1969 at which time Judith continued her nursing career, spanning over 45 years with tenures at East Texas Chest Hospital, Baylor Hospital of Gilmer, Longview Regional, Marshall Hospital Emergency Room, and home health care. Judith also appreciated being an entrepreneur and was the owner of an earth worm farm and was also a Mary Kay Representative. Upon retirement, Judith had a volunteer career of many years serving selflessly at CASA of Denton, Hearts way Hospice, Gladewater Chamber of Commerce and the Gladewater Museum. Judith shared a love of animals and adopted and rescued several dogs and cats throughout her life. Judith had many friends at the Gladewater Senior Citizen Center where she and her sister Jan exercised weekly. Judith was a faithful servant to our Lord. She volunteered in her church, and most recently attended services offered by Father Allen at St. Joseph The Worker In Tyler.
