Gladewater -- Judith Judy Hughleen Oliver, 64,of Winona, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2014. She was born in Longview to Roy James and Agnes Satterwhite Oliver on December 18, 1949. She attended White Oak School from kindergarten through 12th grade, then went on to get an associate degree at Kilgore College. She also earned a paralegal assistant certification from Letourneau University.
She was a devout Christian and was raised in White Oak Missionary Baptist Church. In her adult years, she helped in the children and youth ministries and was active in the churchs choir.
Judy was a loving mother of three girls and was active in the PTA and band boosters as her children went through White Oak as well. She was a stay-at-home mom throughout their childhood as she taxied them to twirl, dance, and piano lessons. She also coached some of their softball teams. When her kids were older she loved substitute teaching.
Judy loved to read, paint, and make arts and crafts. She also loved fishing and Willie Nelson! She owned and operated White Oak Video for five years before retiring to Winona. She loved her cats and dogs and her horse, Frost.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Agnes Oliver.
She is survived by her three children, Alisha Kimbley and husband Luke of Longview, Kimberli OBrien and husband Daniel of White Oak, and Krystal Kirkland of Kilgore; three grandchildren, Skyla and Marshall OBrien of White Oak, and Judah Kimbley of Longview; her brother, James Marcus Oliver and wife LeAnne of White Oak; Jeff Jones of Winona, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday March 28, 2014, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Interment will be at the old White Oak Cemetery. Visitation with loving pictures will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
