Memorial services for Juanita Teddie Wood Lansdale, 96, of Gladewater, Texas, will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Dr. Billy Teague officiating. Interment will follow at the Damascus Cemetery in Lindale, Texas. Juanita Teddie Wood Lansdale went home to her loving Savior on May 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leonard; her son, Stephen; and her granddaughter, Jennifer. Teddie, as she was affectionately called, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great- great-grandmother. The love that she shared is carried on through her living sons, Charles Lansdale and his wife, Raye and Jimmy Lansdale and his wife, Jackie. She touched each one of her grandchildren"s lives in a special and unique way. Left to cherish that legacy are Greg Lansdale, Brent Lansdale, Stephanie Lansdale Humble, Chuck Lansdale, Casey Lansdale, Toby Lansdale, Joanna Lansdale Maguire, Josh Lansdale, Jordan Lansdale Thomas, Alex Lansdale and Jake Lansdale. Her grandchildren would tell you that she had an infectious smile, a twinkle of delight in her eyes, and a desire for them to find the love of Jesus Christ. Juanita Teddie Wood was born to Stephen Philander Wood and Ola McDaniel Wood in Hope, Arkansas, on January 22, 1919. The family relocated to Tyler, Texas, where she met and married the love of her life, Leonard Lansdale. Leonard and Teddie spent many wonderful years together, ending their earthly journey in Gladewater, Texas. Teddie was a woman of strong and abiding faith. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church, Gladewater. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 14th, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Pallbearers will be Greg, Brent, Casey, Josh, and Jake Lansdale, Josh Thomas, and honorary pallbearers Chuck and Toby Lansdale, and Michael Maguire. "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38
