Joyce Elaine Keel

Joyce Elaine Keel, age 74, of Longview passed away on April 22, 2023, in Longview. She was born on April 11, 1949 in Coleman, Texas to James Howard Cummings and Thelma Rose Greer Cummings.

Joyce loved the outdoors. Her favorite things were fishing and camping. She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; George E. Keel, a daughter; Rhonda Ann Keel, and seven siblings: Wanda Jean Cummings Mason, Ila Fern Cummings Kincaid and her husband Ralph  Kincaid, Avos O’Neda Cummings and her husband John Joseph Kincaid, Marian Dawn Cummings and her husband Johnny Travis Williams, James Melton Cummings, Cheryl Lorraine Cummings Norris, and Bobbie Louise Cummings; daughter in law, Lisa Ann Gilliland Keel, seven brothers in law(Keel).

Joyce is survived by a son; Douglas Everett Keel and partner Mary Lou Fell, two grandchildren; Jessica Renae Player and husband Calob Ryan Player, and Tyler Everett Keel and wife Claudia Nicole Keel; three great grandchildren; Kinsley Ann Player, Kasen Everett Player, and Brooks Everett Keel; a sister, Patsy Beth Cummings Keel and husband Ottis Clark Keel, sister in law; Donna Dae Holland Cummings, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keel will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Joyce will be buried next to her husband George at the Forest Park VA cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana at a later date.
