Joy Lynn Motley DIANA �Services for Joy Lynn Motley, 77, of Ore City will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 26, 2011 at First United Methodist Church of Ore City. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Longview. Mrs. Motley passed away Monday, August 22, in Longview. Joy was born December 19, 1933 in Nacogdoches, TX, to Jake and Lura Gatlin. She was married to Bobby Motley who preceded her in death. Mrs. Motley was Salutatorian at Cushing High School, and held a Bachelor�s Degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. She touched a lot of lives in the 38 years that she taught at Ore City ISD. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ore City and enjoyed working in the yard, going to sporting events and playing dominoes with her friends at the nursing home. She is survived by a son: Mark Motley of Diana; a daughter: Delia Crockett of Ore City; 3 grandchildren: Patrick Peoples, Tyler and Valley Kirkindoll; a brother: Bryan William Gatlin of Houston; and a sister: Janice Gresham, and husband, Travis of Orange, TX.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
