Jose Gerardo Lopez

Celebration of Life services for Jose Gerardo Lopez, 32, of Big Sandy, TX will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 30th, 2020, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, TX. Mr. Lopez passed away Sunday, July 26th, 2020, in Longview, TX.

Jose was born on June 20th, 1988 in Laredo, Texas to Vicente Lopez, Sr. and Maria Del Carmen Veloz Lopez. He worked along side his father as a mechanic for oil field machinery. Jose enjoyed traveling with friends, hiking, collecting, studying history, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Jose will forever be remembered for his big heart and selfless attitude of always putting others first.

He is survived by his parents Vicente and Carmen Lopez; his beloved grandparents Jose Angel and Maria de Jesus Veloz; his brother Vicente Lopez Jr. and wife Christa; two sisters Dilliana and Estella Lopez; nieces and nephews Kayleb, Grayson, Christence, Vicente III, Ryenne and Cohen; and his cousins who were like brothers Jerry Veloz and Ernest Everett, Jr. as well as many other loving family and friends.
