Johny Frank "Chief" Blake Gladewater " Services for Johny Frank "Chief" Blake, 69, of Winona, will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 2 P.M. in Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Curry R. Blake, Reverend John Blake, and Reverend James Etson officiating. Burial will be in Starrville Cemetery. Born on May 24, 1941, in Nocona, Texas, he died on Friday, March 11, 2011. He was a veteran of United States Air Force and a retired police officer. He also worked as an investigator for the Texas Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Parks Heights Assembly of God Church in Tyler. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Blake of Winona; son, Curry Blake of Dallas; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Louise Belcher of Nocona; Willie Mae Henry of Nocona; Loy Bowman of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and Floy Ames of Mountainberg, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie E. and Rosetta Blake, and brother, Riley Edward. Blake. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
