Johnny Wayne Sasser

Graveside services for Johnny Wayne Sasser, 84, of Gladewater will be Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mr. Sasser passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Longview. Johnny was born July 17, 1931 in Upshur County to John Sasser and Mildred Allen. Mr. Sasser worked for H.B. Zachary as an Electrician. Johnny enjoyed the Rodeo in his younger days He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends. He was a past Scout Leader and also was a Mason. Johnny will be missed by all the family and friends he leaves behind. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Sherry Sasser and Tony and Shannon Sasser; sister Yanema Stanton; three grandchildren Trent Sasser, Stoney Sasser and Kelty Goldsby; two great grandchildren Aspen Goldsby and Cypress Goldsby; loving companion of 25 years Evelyn Pittman; Evelyn"s sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Alea Murray and children and John P. and Marja Murray and children as well as many other loving family and friends. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and wife LaGrande Sasser who passed away in 1989. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the American Cancer Society at 1301 S.
