Johnny Ray Armstrong

Memorial services for Johnny Ray Armstrong, 65, of Ore City, Texas will be held 3:00 P.M, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. Mr. Armstrong died on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his home in Ore City. Born on March 18, 1947, in Harleton to James "Jimmy" Watson and Mary Frances Cook Armstrong, he graduated from Ore City. He served in the U. S Army during the Vietnam War and was a Bronze Star recipient. Mr. Armstrong was a retired entrepreneur. He is survived by his mother Mary Frances Armstrong of Hughes Springs; son, Jeremy Armstrong of Palestine; daughter Jodi Morken of Dallas; sisters, Martha Gail Armstrong Booher of Ennis, Judy Ann Armstrong Stafford of Jefferson; two grandchildren; numerous aunts and uncles; one niece;two nephews;one great nephew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.
