Due to the current public health situation and mandates set in place for COVID-19, a private family service will be held for Johnnie E. Davidson with a public memorial service being held at a later date.

Johnnie E. Davidson, 77, of Gilmer, Texas was born on February 22, 1943 in Gilmer to L.D. and Jessie Dodson Davidson. He graduated from Gilmer High School in 1962, and proudly served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Davidson worked as a maintenance millwright for 30+ years at Robroy Industries was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jane Harkey Davidson, daughter: LaVesha Miller and husband Roy of Gilmer, brother Ronnie Davidson of Gilmer, sisters-in-law: Linda Davidson and Joan Hollis, known as “Mamps” by his three grandchildren: Erica Boyd and husband Jimmy, Candyce Brewer and husband Shawn, and Richard Kardatzke, four great-grandchildren: Devlin Amos, Lucas Brewer, Tessa Nation and D.J. Boyd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Duell Ray Davidson and his sister Peggy Manley.
