John Henson Banner

Celebration of Life services for John Henson Banner, 55, of Gladewater, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Mr. Banner passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, in Houston.

John was born October 14, 1963 in Greenville, Texas to Judge Paul Banner and Judith Henson Banner. Mr. Banner worked many years as a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. John enjoyed classic cars, studying history and tending to his roses. He loved spending time with his family and friends. John will always be remembered by the loving family and many friends he leaves behind.

John is survived by his two sons Augustus Henson Banner and John Arthur Banner; parents Judge Paul Banner and Judith Henson Banner; two sisters Anne and husband Mark Hatfield and Virginia and husband Dr. Brian Spore as well as many other loving family and friends.
