John Edward Madden

Funeral services for John Edward Madden, 69, of Gladewater, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Gladewater, with Brother Scotty Fife officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time at the church. Mr. Madden passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Longview.

Mr. Madden was born May 23, 1949 in Gladewater to the late Joe Madden and Louise Smith-Madden. John was a Master Carpenter and worked in construction his entire life. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and would even watch replays of games from years past. He also enjoyed watching Westerns, spending time with family and friends and taking care of his two weenie dogs “Fat Girl”(little bit) and Trixie”. John attended Friendship Baptist Church. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will never be forgotten by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

John is survived by his wife Kelly Madden; daughter Tricia Brown; son Kevin Madden and wife Amanda; sister Teresa Helms; two brothers Ray Madden and Joe Glen Madden; four grandchildren Lauren Madden, Sydney Madden, Colton Brown and Carter Brown; great granddaughter Addison Brown as well as many other loving family friends.
