Joe Vasquez

Mr. Joe Rios Vasquez, age 78, of Gladewater, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2019 at home. He was born on November 14, 1940 in Taylor, Texas to the late Jesus Martinez Vasquez and Maria Rios Vasquez. He worked as a paint and body repair technician for 52 years in the Gladewater area, and of the Christian faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Josefina Lopez, Angie Guadalcazar, Maria Garcia, Esther Mancias, Joyce Ruiz, Daniel Vasquez, Albert Vasquez, and Frances Guardiola.

He is survived by sons, Joey Vasquez, Danny Vasquez, Ernie Vasquez, Leo Vasquez all of San Jose, Ca., Curtis Vasquez of Gladewater; daughters Diana Guadalupe Vasquez of Patterson, Ca., Janet McGee of Gladewater; siblings, Paul Vasquez, Sonora Martinez, Jess Vasquez, Leo Vasquez, Rose Cutlip, Alice Gonzales, Connie Gonzales, Ruben Vasquez, Annie Regaldo, Rita McGallon Banget; fifteen grandchildren, and forty-five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater, Bro. Paul Vasquez, and Pastor Brian Zappa officiating, interment will follow at Morris Cemetery in Upshur County. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
