Funeral services for Joan Marie McCrary, 78, of Gladewater, will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Gary McCrary and Perry Cowan officiating. Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mrs. McCrary passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 in a Longview hospital. Mrs. McCrary was born October 12, 1937 in Seguin, Texas to George F. and Ruby Ballard Crawford. She was a retired Teacher Aide with the Gladewater ISD, a lifetime resident of Gladewater and a member of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed keeping up with classmates, loved to sew, loved her job and working with the Gladewater youth and planning Gladewater Class Reunions. She is survived by her husband, Craig McCrary of Gladewater; daughter, Stacie Jo McCrary of Union Grove; brothers-in-law, Ray McCrary and wife, Jolene of Gilmer; Gary McCrary and wife, Roberta of Gladewater and Marcus McCrary and wife, Debby of Orlando, Florida; sisters-in-law, Signa Ware and husband, Richard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Twila Simons and husband, John of Carrolton and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCrary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George F. Crawford, Jr.; and sister, Peggy Cuthbertson. Pallbearers will be Kieth McCrary, Kevin McCrary and Jason McCrary. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas.
