Jo Nell Adams Lucky

Services for Jo Nell Adams Lucky, 86, of Gladewater, will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Chase officiating. Burial will be at Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on May 28, 1927, in Gilmer, Texas, to Benjamin Franklin and Nannie Leo Adams, she entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. A 1944 graduate of Gladewater High School, she attended Kilgore College and was a Kilgore College Rangerette and a member of the Kilgore College Band. An active member of the Gladewater Former Students" Association, she, in addition, was a Rangerette Forever, member of the Gladewater Lions Club, the Kilgore Business and Professional Women"s Club, the Gladewater High School 40"s Birthday Group, and Beta Sigma Phi. She is survived by her husband, Sam Lucky of Gladewater; daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Kendall King of Cleveland; Marti and Merrill McGahan of Nikiski, Alaska; step-children, Samuel Lucky III and wife Leigh of Newport News, Virginia; Ann Cox of Canyon Lake, Texas; Dianne and husband David Nelson of The Woodlands; Cara Baines of The Woodlands; 5 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Thomas of Gladewater; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, J.G. Adams and Jack Adams; and one grandson, Heath Murley.
