Memorial services for Jo Beth Taylor, 73, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins with Reverend Bill Holmes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Taylor passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was born May 10, 1939, in Camp County, Texas, to J.B. and Tommie Lee Carpenter Boyd. She was an English Professor at Wylie College in Marshall and had formerly taught English at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins. She was a world-traveler and an avid fan of science fiction TV shows. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Janell Taylor of Richardson; brothers Tim Boyd of Tyler and Ted Boyd of Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughter, Samantha Faye Taylor of Richardson; and best friend, Betty Brown of Hawkins. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
