Jimmy Lane Vestal

Jimmy “Jimbo” Lane Vestal, 67, of Diana, Texas passed away January 31st, 2022. He was born August 10th, 1954, to Jessie Clayton Vestal Sr. & Georgia Josephine Coker Vestal.
Jimmy was a devout Christian who loved serving the Lord, going fishing and eating cheeseburgers, fries with extra ketchup with a large Dr Pepper. In the summer of 1973, Jimmy was involved in a motorcycle accident that put him in a coma for 14 months and against all odds he overcame. The family would like to thank the community and the five churches who came and assisted the family during this difficult time. He is survived by his brothers Jessie Clayton Vestal Jr. and wife Debbie of Diana, TX, Jerry Vestal and wife Cindy of Lake Elsinore, California, Joel Vestal and wife Lisa of Gilmer, TX and one sister, Jo Deane Sherrill and husband Johnny of Mineola, TX. Nephews: Waylon Vestal, BJ Vestal, Brady Vestal, and Justin Vestal, Nieces: Wanda Harrold, Tori Seymour, and Jenna Vestal-Stewart. 10 great-nephew and great nieces and 2 great-great nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother Johnny Waylan Vestal.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 4th from 1:00pm- 2:00 PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana, TX. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with burial following at Reed Cemetery in Diana, Texas.
