Jimmy Dan Sellers, 78, of Lake O’ the Pines, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at his home. Jimmy Dan was born in Abilene, Texas on November 18, 1943 to Terry Lee Sellers and Dovie Lee Willingham Sellers.

He wore many hats in his lifetime, from being a popular basketball player (at 6'10" tall) in high school, to driving cattle trucks, working on the Alaskan pipeline, in the West Texas oilfields, managing mobile home parks, owning and operating several restaurants with his wife, and in the past few years sharing his love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Facebook.

He married the love of his life, Opal Mae Berry, on August 28, 1981 in Abilene, Texas.

Jimmy Dan was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Johnnie Maude (Tootie) Crase, and Virginia (Sister) Hollis, two brothers, Leander Sellers and Raymond Sellers, his son, Richard Sellers and grandson, Christopher Breeding.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Sellers, son, Clint Pyron and wife, Joyce, and five daughters, Vivian Gray and husband, Phillip, Lisa Luedecke, Rachelle Gaines, Tonya Horn and Tracy Mainka, ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, along with many favorite nieces and nephews, including Melinda Berry who spent the last several years helping to care for him.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
