Jimmy Gene Coleman, 48 of Gilmer, TX was peacefully united with our Heavenly Father on May 15, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. He spent his last 11 days at Home Place Hospice of East Texas in Tyler where he was greatly cared for.

He was born December 3, 1974, in Odessa, TX to Nancy Gray Kincheloe and Terry DeWayne Coleman. Jimmy graduated from Union Grove High School in 1993. He was a deputy for Camp County Sheriff's Office and later Wood County Sheriff's Office, rendering over 15 years of service. He later started and ran Coleman Gutters.  Jimmy touched many lives, being selfless and obedient.  He was a true friend, a loving husband and caring father.  Jimmy's relationship with his brother, Sam, was unconditional and he would do anything for him, as well as his mom.  He was always willing to help, whenever needed or able, whether it was a dear friend or a complete stranger.  Everyone that met Jimmy knew he was a beacon of light, whose light would shine through.

He was preceded in death by his father Terry Coleman; grandparents, O.W. and Burnie Coleman, Paul and Esther Gray. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Sandy Robison Coleman; sons, Billy and Nic Coleman; daughter, Rain Coleman; mother and stepfather, Nancy and Daryl Kincheloe; brothers, Sam and wife Susan Coleman, Trinity Coleman; nieces and nephews, Rance, Rowdy, Samantha, Cash, Preston, Faith, Grace, Emberly, Brittany, and several great nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members, including Granny Polly, aunts, uncles and cousins.
