Mr. Jimmy Charles Hope, 76 of White Oak, passed away on Monday, October
19, 2020 at Longview Regional Medical Center. Jimmy was born in Collinsville,
OK., on February 21, 1944 to the late Charles William Hope and Lucy Analee
(Brazeal) Hope. He served as a vehicle repairman in the U.S. Air Force during the
Vietnam War. He was a retired gas plant operator for ARCO, and he later
became a hot shot driver for Rig Runner for 13 years. He was committed to
serving his community and made a positive impact on many youth through his
commitment to the White Oak Baseball Association through his many years of
coaching, umpiring, and helping maintain the baseball fields. He was a proud
member of the White Oak Coffee Club where they met twice a day. He was
devote christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gladewater.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverly Rose (Jones) Hope of
White Oak; sons, Jimmy Charles Hope II of White Oak, Edward Lane Hope and
Betty Charlson of White Oak, Robert Duane Hope and wife Julia Hope of Lake
Cherokee; brothers, Jackie Ray Hope and wife Kerry Hope of Owasso, OK.,
Jimmy Staires of Broken Arrow, OK.; grandchildren, Dillon James Hope, Blayne
Edward Hope, Tanner Lee Hope, Jessica Cate Hope Owen and husband Neal
Owen, Zackary Jordan Hope; one great-child, Raegynn Elizabeth Smith; and
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his
parents; sisters, Becky Palone and Joyce Evans; and brother, Bobby Staires.
