Jimmie Lou Krecek

GILMER- Ms. Jimmie Lou Krecek, 89, of Irving, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and those who knew of her kindness and generosity. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rosewood Church and Cemetery in Gilmer. Jimmie Lou was born in Rosewood, TX. Dec. 4, 1926. At the age of 11, her family moved to Dallas, where she attended school then worked until she married William F. "Bill" Krecek on Mar. 10, 1946. She remained a resident of Irving for 68 years. Jimmie was happy when gardening and fishing. She loved music and socializing. She assisted Bill in running several businesses as well as being a bookkeeper for Sears for several decades. Jimmie Lou was preceded in death by her husband Bill (1978) and her parents Joseph Lewis Lantrip and Era (Stephenson) Lantrip. Jimmie Lou is survived by her brother, Bob Lantrip; sisters, Mary Finch and Joan Nance. She had no children of her own, but always considered her nieces and nephews as if they were. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas.
