Jimmie Earl Joyce

DIANA: Services for Jimmie Earl Joyce, 58, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel, with Brother Pat Shannon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. He passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 in Dallas.

Jimmie was born March 29, 1960 in Linden, Texas to Ira Bryan Joyce Jr. and Reathie Mae Foster Joyce. He was a welder at Capacity of Texas for 31 years. Jimmie was a Mason and member of Lodge #38 in Jefferson, Texas and a member of Simmons Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter and loved his family and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Erwin L. Childs.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 37 years: Brenda Kay Joyce, parents: Ira and Reathie Joyce of Jefferson, daughter and son-in-law: Amber and Brandon Headrick of Ore City, brother: Kenneth Joyce and wife Kathy of Scottsville, mother-in-law: Linda Childs of Diana, grandchildren: Raven Headrick, Madison Headrick and Haley Headrick and great-grandchildren: Aleigha and Kaleigh.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 10, 2018, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
