Funeral services for Mr. Jerry R. Cromer, 71 of Gilmer will be held Saturday, 10:00 A.M, November 15, 2014, Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas with Reverend Blake Lander and Billy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. Mr. Cromer passed away in Tyler on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was born on July 21, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to George and Christine Goolsby Cromer. Mr. Cromer was a DPS Trooper and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Suzann Cromer of Gilmer; sons, Chad Cromer of Lake Whitney and Greg Laney and his wife, Tana of Gilmer; daughters, Shan Leachman of Bullard and Michele Laney Howell and husband, Ronnie of Rockwall; brother, Jack Cromer of Bedford; nieces, Tandra Cromer of Dallas and Yvette Hill of Houston; also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Louie English, Danny Green, Jim Patterson, Buck Cross, Billy Davis, Dennis Mitchell, Jim Hays, Jerry Farmer and Jerry Pittman. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 14, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
