Jerry Michael Hallman, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Michael (Mike) Hallman, Sr., age 65, of Gatesville, TX (formerly of Gladewater, Big Sandy and Gilmer), passed away peacefully at his home in Gatesville, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Mike was born in Gilmer on November 16, 1953 to the late Homer Hallman and Etta Payne Duncan. He worked as a Maintenance Chief Supervisor for Trinity Industries in Longview, before retiring to Gatesville with his family. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Gilmer. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family whom he loved so very dearly.
He married Christie Jean Neel in Gladewater on January 14, 1972; he is survived by her. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother James Hallman, and his two sisters Joyce Williams and Janet Eves; and grandchild Benjamin Hallman.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Mike) Hallman, Jr. and wife Brittany of Gatesville, Kevin Hallman and wife Melanie of East Mountain, Jason Hallman and wife Jessica of Enterprise, Alabama, and Kyle Hallman and wife Charlotta of Big Sandy; 14 grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Michael and wife Whitney, Lane, Haley, Tyler, Katie, George, Gracie, Jason, Chloe, Brycen, Brooklyn, and Brynlea.
Services are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Gilmer, 795 US Highway 271 North, Gilmer, Texas 75644, viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. followed by services on Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Grace Baptist Church, 101 Crawford Street, Gilmer, TX 76544, Pastor David Mayhan officiating.
