Jerry Andrew Green, 68, of Carthage, Tx passed away on March 10, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Jerry was born January 6, 1956 in Longview, Tx to William Joe Green and Frances Irene (Wheeler) Green.
Jerry began his career as a radio D.J. for 20 plus years under the call-sign/handle C.J. Morris. Working for such stations as mix 107.3, KYKX 101.5, 98.9 The Rocks, and KRFO. His talent and commitment to the industry left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of listening to his work.
Jerry's true joy was spending time with his family and friends. Jerry was a huge giver, he was always giving his loved ones gifts and collectable trinkets.
Outside of his career and relationships, Jerry was a man of diverse interests. An artist at heart, he enjoyed drawing and painting beautiful creations. His love for music, old science fiction, and classic movies reflected his imaginative spirit and appreciation for creativity.
In addition to his professional achievements and hobbies, Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, showcasing his dedication to serving his country.
He is survived by his stepbrother, Randy Blaylock; uncle Bobby Wheeler Sr.; nieces and nephews, Sammy Ray Catron Jr. and wife Amanda, Johnathon William Elkins, Ashley Marie Elkins, and Joseph W. Clark; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jarod Clark, Dylan Griswald, Logan Evans, Caleb Elkins, Miranda Catron, and Justin Crews; cousins, Christy Garrett, Chad Calhoun, Courtney Calhoun, Eddie Arnold, Samantha Wilcox and Bobby Wheeler Jr.; as well as his ex-wife Penny Duvall.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William Joe Green and Frances Irene (Wheeler) Green; sister, Ramona Irene (Green) Elkins.
