Funeral services for Jerry Glenn Cannon, 69, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Reverend Othell LaFerney, Darrell Davis, and Wayne Norvell officiating. Interment will be in West Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Cannon passed away Saturday, at Gilmer hospital. Mr. Cannon was born November 4, 1941 in Gilmer to Doyce and Lavern Gilbert Cannon. He was a self-employed painting contractor, 32nd Degree Mason with the Gilmer #142 AF & AM Lodge, and a member of the Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Carla Ann Cannon; sons: Jerry Keith Cannon, Kinnith William Touchstone, and James Allen Touchstone; daughters: Debra E. Hoch, Jessica Renee Brummell, and Kindra Ann Loyd; brothers: Johnny Cannon and Mike Cannon; grandchildren: Colin G. Hoch, Cole Touchstone, Austin Touchstone, Keli Touchstone, Katelynn Cannon, Ashley Sieber, Bailey Loyd, Kristie Loyd, Lauren Touchstone, and Jace Touchstone; great-grandchild: Kinnedy. Pallbearers will be Colin G. Hoch, Cole Touchstone, Austin Touchstone, Jody Cannon, Jason Cannon, Mike Estes, and Katelynn Cannon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Wilson, Billy Maddux, Barry Hale, Raybert McCary, John Wayne Cox, David Shaver, Rod Adkinson, and Luke Hollen. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Monday, June 13, 2011 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Gilmer.
