Jerry Davis

On Sunday, November 4, 2018, our father, Jerry Davis, went to be with the Lord, and was reunited in Heaven with our mother Lavada Davis. He passed away at his home, surrounded by love ones. He was one of eleven children born on March 29, 1944, in Omaha, Texas to Roscoe and Eloise Davis. Over the years there has been the passing of his parents and many of his siblings, Baby Jackie, Nita, Eloise (Sis), Tommy, Charlie and Carl.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Paul Davis and wife, Tabatha Davis; daughter Paula Davis-Alsobrook and husband, David Alsobrook; daughter, Janet Webb; brother, Willie Davis and wife Gloria Davis; brother, Billy Davis and wife, Terry Davis; sisters, Mary Ann Powell and Loretta Tyler and husband, Don Tyler. Jerry is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He worked many years for the Texas Highway Department before retiring. He was a member of Diana Church of God. One of our fondest memories of him will be, his ability to sing his favorite gospel hymns and country songs and playing his guitar. After retiring he spent much of his time with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with good friend Brother Harold Blakey. He will be forever loved and remembered in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home. At Dad’s request a graveside service will be held at Eagle Creek Cemetery on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Josh Phillps, Brad Beal, Steven Green, Kelly White, Kelcey Trotty and Trent Montgomery.
