Jerry "Bokey" Daniel

Funeral services for Jerry Don "Bokey" Daniel, 48 of Diana will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Daniel passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Longview. He was born February 21, 1966, in Gladewater, Texas to Leonard Daniel and Mary Jo Medlin Daniel. Jerry was a self employed rancher and attended Lone Oak Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with family, he loved to make others laugh and he enjoyed life that included fishing, scuba diving, riding his Harley and driving his 55 Chevy. Jerry is survived by his wife, Melissa Daniel; sons, Zachary Daniel, William Smith, Daniel Smith, Jedidiah Smith all of Diana; brother, Alan Daniel and his wife Dale of Longview; sisters, Rhonda Hayden and husband, Robert Hayden, Sharon Daniel and husband Willy Ward all of East Mountain; numerous nieces and nephews; also brother-in-law, Scott Hoing and wife Charlotte Hoing, sister "in-law, Prissy Danna and husband, John Danna, brother-in-law, Preston Smith, brother-in-law, Bobby and wife, Becky Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Mary Lynn Daniel and Vicki Barr and mother-in-law, Linda Sue Smith. Pallbearers are Willy Ward, Robert Hayden, William Smith, Daniel Smith, Jedidiah Smith, John Danna, Scott Hoing and Preston Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Daniel, Jace Daniel, Nathan Daniel and Zachary Daniel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December, 2, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
