Memorial services for Jeremy Kent Chapman, 37, loving father and son, of Longview, Texas, will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 2 P.M. at the Fellowship Bible Church in Longview, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on May 19, 1976, in Longview, Texas, he went home to be with his Father in Heaven on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Jeremy took pride in working as a manager at Academy Sports and Outdoors. He always encouraged each of his employees to set high standards and take pride in their work. There, he not only made numerous friends, but it also reintroduced him to his love of fishing. Jeremy loved fishing in tournaments with his many friends. Jeremy"s larger than life personality and smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son and pride and joy, Cameron Chapman; his parents, David and Jeri Chapman; his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Heather Chapman, all of Longview; his aunts and uncles, Kirt and Kathy Yates Hogg of Longview and Ira and Deanne Yates Freet of Humble; Bennie and Janice Killingsworth of Longview; many cousins, paternal grandmother Jewel Rice of Longview; his best friend, Lacey Chapman; and many loving and faithful friends. If so desired, memorials may be made to Jeremy"s favorite charity, The Wounded Warrior Project, or to the Fellowship Bible Church Building Fund, 4600 McCann Road, Longview, Texas 75605. No visitation is scheduled.
