Jeffrey Dean Orsburn

Jeffrey Dean Orsburn of Gladewater, TX passed away in his home July 4, 2022 after a near 4-year battle with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). Jeff fought this battle with a rare dignity, grace and strength, his faith and hope in God never wavering, as he grew in humility and a deeper concern for others every step of the way. If anything, this trial strengthened his faith. Many people have expressed how their lives have been touched, even changed by his example. He was independent, still able to walk until four days before his passing. We are so thankful he is finally healed, free of this disease, so appropriately on Independence Day.

Jeff was born in Redwood City, Ca, his family moving to Northeast Texas when he was a child. He graduated Winnsboro High School, attended Arizona State University, Ambassador College, Big Sandy, and recently graduated Ambassador Center of Wadsworth, OH achieving a longstanding goal. Jeff was a Sr. Procurement Manager for JBS Pilgrims for 21 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathryn Jones Orsburn, their son Austin Orsburn of Fort Collins, CO, two sisters, Gena Orsburn of Winnsboro, and Michele Luttrell of Gladewater, dear Aunt Nora Hildreth of Tahlequah, OK, many nieces, nephews, family members and countless friends.
