Jeffrey Scott Clemens

Jeffrey Scott Clemens passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, at the age of 67, in Gilmer, Texas. He was born on June 11, 1957, in Fallon, Nevada, to Dorthy and Wayne Clemens.

Jeff graduated from Marshall High School in 1975 and joined the U.S. Navy, serving from June 1975 to June 1979. During his service, he attended Boot Camp at RTC in San Diego, CA; Photographer’s Mate “A” School in Pensacola, FL; NAS New Orleans in Gretna, LA; and NAS Beeville, TX.

On September 1, 1984, Jeff married Lanette Williams in Texarkana, TX. He graduated from Texarkana Technology Institute in 1986 and began working for Texas Instruments in Richardson, TX, retiring in 2009. After retirement, he worked for ETEX Telephone and was employed there until his passing.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lanette Williams Clemens; his children, Jered Clemens and Laren Clemens Lee and her husband Cody Lee; and his grandchildren, Lanie and Brody Lee. He is also survived by his mother, Dorthy Coyle; his brother, Larry Clemens and his wife Sally; his sister, Amy Clemens of Tyler; and his brother, Jason Clemens and his wife Tina from Lewisville, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Clemens.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home.
