Jean Wallace

May 2, 1932 — December 9, 2020

Jean Wallace, 88, of Gilmer, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She will be truly missed by her family.
Jean was born May, 2, 1932 in Grand Saline, Texas, to Edward and Opal Walters. During her working years, she was a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, and an elevator operator. She also volunteered her time with the Houston Police Department. Jean was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed her later years as a homemaker and tending to her home and family.
Jean is survived by her son, Jack Hall; grandchildren, Kristi Lara and husband, Heath, Johnny Hall; and two great grandchildren, Katie Aden and Gavrielle Flisowski.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Park with Brother Madison Caffey officiating.
