J.C. 'Jimmy' Small

Gladewater - Memorial serfices for J.C. "Jimmy" Small, 75, of White Oak will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Gary Boyd officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on October 21, 1936 in Longview, Texas, to Lawrence C. and Vada Small he died on Sunday, September 9, 2012. A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country valiantly from 1955-1959. A 42-year retired employee of the United States Steel Corporation, he, in addition, loved watching Roughneck football and participating as a fan for all sports. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Stephanie Small of White Oak; David and Karol Small of Decatur; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Grant Boyd of Kilgore; 7 grandchildren, Maegan Hamerquest, Brandon Small, Brian Small, Andrew Small, Katy Davison, Hannah Davison, and Grayson Boyd; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Charles and Mary Helen Small of Mesquite.
