In loving memory of Janis Parrott Harkins, born on February 2, 1941, in the heart of Cherokee County, Tx and who peacefully departed on October 19, 2024, in Gilmer, TX. Leaving a trail of tranquility in her wake. A devoted wife, Janis and William Harkins shared 67 years together. She will be remembered as a loving and cherished mother to Son and Daughter in law David and Nelda Harkins, Daughter Sarah Brock and Daughter and Son in Law Mandy and Ronnie Nalls, Eight grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Janis was the embodiment of grace and strength. Her legacy of love extends also to her Brother Steve Parrott and Sister Debbie Portillo. She was preceded in death by her parents R.E. Parrott and Mildred Dover Parrott and Son in Law Rick Brock.

Janis adorned her days with diligent work as an Office Admin at the Texas Dept. of Justice, where her warmth and wisdom brought solace to many.

Her life, a testament to dedication and love, shall perpetuate through the memories woven by friends and loved ones as they bid their final farewells in a graveside service Friday, October 25, 2024 at Morris Cemetery 3440 Suffolk Rd. Gilmer Tx. at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon as we softly close this chapter, and celebrate the life of Janis Parrott Harkins, an irreplaceable soul whose radiance shall forever illuminate our hearts.
